Workshop : Journey Through Tarot

teacup

A workshop aimed at anyone wishing to learn more about Tarot, or wanting to deepen their knowledge and relationship with the cards.

We will explore some of the key aspects that give order and structure to an oracular craft that has refused to be relegated to dimly lit, illegal or shady environments. On the contrary, over the past few decades, Tarot has surged into the limelight, from Carl Jung’s early exploration of the cards as “archetypes of transformation”, to modern day application by therapists, counsellors and psychologists, alongside spiritual workers, healers, readers and practitioners of magic.

We will be getting to know the Tarot in sacred space and time, and will be doing “hands-on” spreads to learn how to read the Tarot. There will be a wide selection of tarot decks available for viewing. Participants are welcome to bring their own tarot deck for use, or use one of the decks available on the day.

Sunday 2 October 2016 from 9:30 to 4:00

Reading at Wintermoon 2105

It’s that time of the year! The magical WintermoonDSCF7406 Festival is on from Thursday evening 30 April to Sunday 3 May.

I’ve always enjoyed both the festival and reading cards throughout all the merriment, so I am very much looking forward to seeing and experiencing a blissful weekend, great food, a soak in the cool river waters, and of course doing Tarot readings.

All festival readings are $30 per reading, and I will be offering limited evening sessions by candlelight for the more nocturnal among us!

You can check out what is on offer this year by visiting the Wintermoon website.

Many blessings,
Monica

Wintermoon workshop with 78 guests

You are warmly invited to join 78 guests of honour, share their history, heritage and wisdom.

The workshop will start with a brief history of Tarot, followed by some of the key aspects that give order and structure to an oracular craft that has refused to be relegated to dimly lit, illegal or shady environments. On the contrary, over the past few decades, Tarot has surged into the limelight, from Carl Jung’s early exploration of the cards as “archetypes of transformation”, to modern day application by therapists, counsellors and psychologists, alongside spiritual workers, healers, readers and practitioners of magic.

We will be getting to know our guests in sacred space and time, and will be doing simple “hands-on” exercises with the cards. There will be a wide selection of tarot decks available for viewing. Participants are welcome to bring their own tarot deck for use, or use one of the decks available during the workshop.

Sunday 4 May, 11 to 12:30 – venue to be confirmed. Please check the festival pamphlet for date and time confirmation as these may change.
