Case studies in Tarot

ImageFor a while now, I have been contemplating offering free tarot readings in exchange for being allowed to publish these as “case study” material on this blog. I’ve held back, mainly because I wasn’t sure how I’d go about this. I’ve also thought about asking people that I normally read for (as clients) whether they’d be happy for me to write about their reading (anonymously, of course), but I keep forgetting to ask, or feel too insensitive to ask for such things at the end of a reading. In addition, I live in a very small town, and don’t want to run the risk of someone figuring out whom I may be referring to.

So, I am offering free readings to the public, noting the following:

1. Readings are entirely confidential – no names or email address will be disclosed.
2. In exchange for a free reading, you give permission for the reading to be published on this blog (in confidentiality, see 1 above).
3. Specifically, I will publish: a) your question(s) b) the cards I drew and c) my interpretation of these cards.
4. I will not answer questions relating to medical / health issues or death.
5. If you would like a reading, please email me at tarotinateacup at gmail dot com.
6. Please title your email “Case study request” or similar, so I know you’re not someone trying to sell me viagra.
7. I cannot guarantee that I will answer your question, but I will do my best depending on the number of emails I receive.

ImageI look forward to your emails, or any suggestions you may have. If you would like to know a bit more about me, please visit the About page.

Many blessings,

  1. Hi Monica,   I used to belong to the tarot group in Auckland that met on the last Sunday of the month at Ferndale House and I remember you presenting an afternoon segment on some of the Major Arcana, and the deck you used was from memory the Handl deck- very graphic and colourful.  I was very impressed with how you interpreted the cards… me, you have a naturally intuitive way of reading that I knew, if I ever had the opportunity, I would love to have a tarot reading from you…..I trust you….your integrity as a woman and as a reader….   Just recently I said out loud to the Universe ,I would love to ask Monica for a reading, though how will this work… you are in Australia, I am in New Zealand, and the payment, how can this be negotiated….. and then I receive your case studies in tarot email and I said THANK YOU to the Universe……..for answering my request… in such an unusual way.   I feel okay about you using my reading in your case studies, as my contact details will remain confidential.   So, here is my question…..   For a lengthy period of some years, I have been in a huge psychological transition, letting go of unnecessary clutter, on many levels, though predominantly  on a mental level….and learning how to relate from a very new place in myself. And also  learning about how to communicate in a whole new way, more honest and truthful, so there has been lots of relationship changes.   I am seeking real clarity on my direction and where to focus my energies now, at this time…….as my long term vision is to employ the skills and talents I have discovered in the last few years…in a workshop setting…..   to help other women to discover their own self empowerment…..and to set themselves free….to live their own truth.   And to use my own journey of achieving self awareness through falling down and getting up many times, and eventually turning inwards for the answers…..Though now I feel a reading could help me to see what currently is eluding me… this time.   Thank you for this opportunity to receive a reading from you, Monica.  I am truly grateful to you for your generosity.   Warmest regards Yvonne Lovejoy.

  2. Thank you Zanna, yes I’ve had a few requests and this weekend I’ll be organising responses and starting the blog posts on the case studies… Busy bee weekend for me 🙂 Blessings.

  3. Thank you Jennifer, I’ll be starting this weekend and I have quite a few to get through but I thought it would be a great way to explore tarot and what a reading might entail for those who are new, or just looking to obtain a different perspective… Blessings.

  4. Excellent dose of realism there, DD 🙂 I shall do my best and see how I go… if it does end up overwhelming me, I’ll put it on hold for a while… one must have time for tea and bikkies, no?! 😉
